Like a lot of small business, Stonefly Studio started out as a hobby. I soon realized that in the fly-fishing industry,
fly tiers were looking for tools that would aid in their desire to tie that perfect fly. After my son and I joined the
Magic City Fly Fishers we started attending the weekly fly tying classes. There I discovered the need for my son to have
a portable table. It wasn't long before another member of the club asked, "Could you build me one of those?" The rest is
history. From that first table, I knew there was a need for quality equipment for the fly fishing folks. It is my desire
to custom build each gift, fly box or tool to meet the need of anyone who is looking for more than something off the shelf.
